Too Faced Born This Way Foundation

In an earlier post this month I mentioned I picked this foundation up, well, I had to return it.... but not because I didn't like it. I LOVE this foundation! Sephora color matched me incorrectly and the pump was defective so I needed to exchange it for a lighter shade. My shade is "Vanilla" the third lightest shade they have currently (but they are working on making more lighter and deeper shades, to appease a wide variety of skin tones - yaaaaay!) I've switched out my Bobbi Brown Long Wear foundation for this for the past two weeks and I'm simply blown away. Firstly I love that this foundation is yellow based - it cancels out any redness you may have which is a huge plus for me. I'm more on the neutral spectrum, I have yellow and red undertones so I can make mostly everything work. Secondly, this foundation is SUPER PIGMENTED! Meaning you only need one pump of this and it will fully cover your entire face, and any imperfections you may have. I've always struggled with acne scarring on my cheeks, and this foundation covers them beautifully. I have never relieved so many compliments on how "flawless" my skin looks, and how my foundation doesn't look masky or heavy. This was big for me because it meant this foundation was holding up its end of the bargain. My skin overall is so much more hydrated and the texture of my skin is smoother. I haven't broken out due to this foundation which makes me love it even more. I'm a little bit obsessed with Too Faced and all of their products,  I may need to go on a splurge and purchase a few blushes and bronzers. I HIGHLY recommenced this foundation to anyone with dry skin, or normal to dry skin because of it's hydrating properties. I would not recommend this product to someone with oily skin because of the high amount of coconut oil in this - it may make you look very dewy (not in a cute way) Overall, I'm obsessed with this foundation and will continue to advocate for it.

I've always been a big advocate for Too Faced Cosmetics. I'm obsessed with their Boudoir Eye shadow Palette as well as the Chocolate Bar Eye shadow collection. I've been dying to try their new blushes, as well as the Cocoa Contour palettes and bronzers... they just smell so good. I've been dying to try this new foundation from Too Faced! I've heard only good things about this foundation for those with dry skin. I've heard this foundation doesn't play nice with oily skin types. My skin type is Combination - Acne prone, so this foundation is right up my alley. This is what the Born This Way foundation is claiming to provide:

"Born This Way is an oil-free foundation that masterfully diffuses the line between makeup and skin. For coverage so undetectable, you can't see the makeup and you can't see imperfections - all that's left is naturally radiant skin that looks like you were Born This Way. This revolutionary foundation is infused with a potent combination of coconut water to naturally replenish moisture levels; nature's resilient alpine rose to brighten the skin's appearance and promote elasticity and hyaluronic acid for a smoother, more youthful appearance." source: Ulta

Let me just say... this stuff is GOLD in a bottle. I was 100% convinced I needed to try this foundation when I heard it was infused with coconut oil & provided a radiant glow to the skin. I've only been wearing this foundation for about three days now, but my first impression so far is that it's a miracle worker. I wore this foundation with my Benefit primer for about eight-ish hours and my foundation wasn't settling in any areas, or clinging to any of my dry patches on my cheeks. My skin did look more hydrated and had an "angelic-like glow" to it (I kid you not) What I'm loving about this foundation is that it doesn't look masky, or too much, it does look like your "true" skin. I'm a big fan of moisturizing foundations, because I am super dry especially this time of year. We're now in the late stages of autumn here in Maine and it's almost winter time, so I need to update my beauty routine to help keep my skin looking its best. I have high hopes for this foundation, and so far I'm loving how this wears on the skin, and the hydration it delivers. I will say this foundation is VERY pigmented so you'll only need one pump to cover your entire face. This is a medium to full coverage foundation so if you're looking for something that is a full coverage foundation that truly feels light on the skin, I would highly suggest you try this bad boy out

The Original Makeup Eraser

I have had my eye on this little gem for a very long time, but was pretty skeptical of its claims. Last week when I was exchanging my Born This Way foundation at Sephora this bad boy was calling my name so I finally decided it was time to try it out. It's pretty costly at Sephora it runs for about $20.00 and is a little bit bigger than your average wash cloth. What this is is a hot pink ultra soft and reusable makeup remover cloth. It claims that if you wet it with warm water by just rubbing it in circular motions all along your face it will remove all traces of makeup, even waterproof mascara. This cloth is machine washable and advises you to wash it every so often. I was very skeptical of this cloth because it's not good to use a washcloth on the skin because it can easily irritate and pull the skin. When I first opened it I was surprised by how soft it was, it's woven polyester, so it's very fluffy and comforting on the skin. I finally decided to put it to the test and soaked it in warm water, and ringed it out gently. I very gently rubbed the Makeup Eraser along my skin in circular motions, even on my eyes that were coated in sweat proof mascara. To my disbelief, when I looked into the mirror my face was completely free of makeup. The hot pink cloth was coated in my foundation, bronzer and mascara, it really did work! Following using the Makeup Eraser I went in with my everyday cleanser and moisturizer. I've never been so happy about a makeup remover. The real reason I wanted to invest in this product was because I never wanted to waste money on makeup wipes again, they're so costly and I hate adding more chemicals to my face. This product truly takes away any need for makeup remover creams and wipes and is such a great investment for all you makeup junkies everywhere.
