My Fall Hair Makeover

Hello lovelies! How are you all doing this week? My week has literally been so mind-blowing amazing on sooo many levels. For starters: since we decided to have a destination elopement in Colorado, all of my stress has melted away. I feel like for the first time since we've moved I'm genuinely (I say genuinely because I really hate living in Texas) contentwith where I'm at in my life. I love my job, I truly love that I'm working towards my goals, and I LOVE that I'm killing the game at blogging + self care time + working out lately. I will say I definitely need to get back on track with studying each day though... but enough of that!

A few weeks ago I decided it was time for a hair makeover, not even due to the wedding. I just truly wanted to refresh my look and feel good in my skin. With fall coming, I always want to change up my look a little, so I figured now would be the perfect time to take action. This past Tuesday I went to Marissa, at Blush at Bishop Arts here in Dallas... and can I just say how hard that was? It's so difficult to trust another stylist, when you are a stylist, and you know exactly how you want your hair. I knew from looking at Marissa's Instagram, that I could full heartedly trust her...but I was still weary, of course. As soon as I walked into Blush, I knew right away that if I wanted to get back into hair here in Dallas, this was the place to do it. All my worry quickly diminished as soon as I shook Marissa's hand, I knew right then and there, that I had nothing to worry about.

We carefully decided that it would be best to go a little bit more natural for the wedding and without hesitation, I let her go for it! I'm a HUGE lover of balayage, and my stylist is trained specifically in that style, so I knew I would absolutely love whatever she did. While she was doing my hair, I had a wave of sadness wash over me, I truly missed doing hair, but was super grateful I didn't have to do my own in that moment. I didn't even realize my hair had gotten THAT long, so when I saw my hair for the first time, I was in shock. I had long, gorgeous, Instagram-worthy hair. I could not be most pleased with the results of my fall hair makeover, and I'm so so pleased to say I have found my life-long stylist (while I'm in Dallas of course!)
