Things I Loved in 2016

2016 was full of adventure, chaos, emotions-good and bad, laughter, love, and a whole lot of memories. Here are just a few things that 2016 brought with it, things that I loved in 2016.

  • Finding self love/inner peace with my body.
  • The simple beauty of a naked face.
  • A bold red lip on every occasion.
  • Joining an amazing company on the quest of encouraging/celebrating all types of beauty.
  • Solo adventures into the mountains on dreary days.
  • The smell of a fireplace at my fathers house.
  • Heart to heart conversations with total strangers at coffee shops.
  • The new friendships I made.
  • Taking care of my mind, body and spirit.
  • My gym addiction, and how much it's helped my anxiety.
  • Embracing my natural curls.
  • Finding a new love for salads.
  • Always taking advantage of every day off, spent at various places throughout Maine.
  • Swimming in the ocean throughout the summer.
  • Climbing mountains, every damn weekend.
  • Cleansing with oils, nurturing my delicate skin.
  • Baths filled with Epsom salts, and lavender essential oils.
  • Maine Maple Sunday.
  • Education from Sephora core team, learning from amazing individuals.
  • Our couples shoots, and all the beautiful pictures we had taken for free.
  • When Dustin brought me to Soakology and gave me the best experience of my life.
  • Basking in the warm waters of Moxie Falls.
  • Contemplating life while walking along the ocean.
  • The moment I climbed my first tree.
  • Traveling, constantly.
  • Visiting the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens, watching flowers bloom.
  • The feeling of love.
  • The sense of relief of terminating toxic relationships.
  • The surprise of a proposal.
  • Risking it all and taking chances.
  • Making a bold decision to move, cross country on a whim.
  • Being afraid, and scared and vulnerable.
  • Embracing change.
  • Exiting my comfort zone.
  • The feeling of a dry sauna after a workout.
  • Being able to wear shorts in October.
  • Walking into IKEA for the first time.
  • Being able to fully let go of the past.
  • Seeing my first real cactus.
  • Being told I am loved, and dearly.
  • Rescuing a stray kitten.
  • Being able to pay for the things I want most.
  • Becoming comfortable with who I am.
  • Growing up, learning lessons, and growing from the troubles of yesterday.
  • Singing in the car, at the top of my lungs with the windows down.
  • Adulting, and not dying.
  • Becoming stronger, emotionally and physically.
  • Slowly figuring out what I want to do with this one life.

What did you love most about 2016? I'd love to hear!
