Monday Mantra - Just Own It
Hello lovelies and happy Monday! I've decided to begin a new series on my blog called, "Monday Mantras" Mondays are a day everyone seems to dread and I decided I wanted to help everyone kick it up a notch. Mondays are days we're all feeling a little overwhelmed, drained, and a little wound up...so why not try to tweak the way we view Mondays? Every Monday I will be posting a motivational quote, a mantra if you will -to help not just myself, but others get and stay motivated, to help mantain focus, and get us thinking about our goals and aspirations. I'v chosen to begin this new series on my blog because I'm ready to get inspired, and help others in the process.
This weeks Monday Mantra....
This mantra for me is so much more than just a "monday mantra" it's a way of life. This is hands down, one of my favorite quotes of all time.
This is about being unapologetic-ally your authentic self - and owning every second of it.
To my readers, friends, and acquaintances, I dare you...be who you are. Rock what you got, and never apologize for being uniquely you.
Being yourself, showing the world who you are can be empowering - not just to yourself, but to others and that is the most beautiful gift you can give.
Embracing who you truly are can be the most liberating thing anyone can do. Once you know exactly who you are...celebrate that, and own it. I can't stress it enough how important it is to be yourself, always. If someone doesn't like who you are, that's okay.Embrace uncertainty, the unknown, and enjoy the journey. We're all human here, and it's perfectly okay to be imperfect. No one, no matter who they are is 100% "perfect" and that's alright. Being who you are and owning up to your flaws, mistakes, and regrets - that's being authentic, and who doesn't want that?
Whoever you are, whatever your flaws, mistakes, regrets, just fucking own it.
In my mind, the most beautiful people, are the ones that own who they truly are. They are the authentic ones, the real, the raw ones. The women who aren't afraid to dream big, to pursue something bigger than themselves. The women empowering other women. In my mind, if you aren't owning up to your true self, and letting the real "you" shine through...you aren't living life fully. You must be content with yourself, and you must love yourself for exactly who you are. Be who you are and just own it.
I challenge all of you to pick your own Monday mantra, and let it simmer with you. Let it allow you to analyze your choices, thoughts and actions. If you're feeling brave, share it with someone, heck even share it with me. Whatever you choose, I hope it's beautiful.
