Monday Mantra - Everyone is Fighting a Battle
Hello lovelies and happy Monday! I've decided to begin a new series on my blog called, "Monday Mantras" Mondays are a day everyone seems to dread and I decided I wanted to help everyone kick it up a notch. Mondays are days we're all feeling a little overwhelmed, drained, and a little wound up...so why not try to tweak the way we view Mondays? Every Monday I will be posting a motivational quote, a mantra if you will -to help not just myself, but others get and stay motivated, to help mantain focus, and get us thinking about our goals and aspirations. I'v chosen to begin this new series on my blog because I'm ready to get inspired, and help others in the process.
This weeks Monday Mantra...
This is a quote that has struck a cord in me lately. What I've come to realize in my short almost twenty three years of existence is that life is hard for everyone....in different ways of course. Through social media anyone can create a certain persona, and give a sense of who they are... I am here to tell you today that it's not okay to judge a book by its cover.
It's so very important to realize that no matter how perfect someone may seem, we are all fighting a hard battle no one knows anything about.
Another key note in this quote is something very important to my soul: To always, always be kind. I truly feel that to every person, you need to always be kind, you never know what someone may be going through. Being kind to others is not only something you do for others, it's something you are doing for yourself. By being kind you are choosing despite the negativity, despite a shitty situation you are choosing the high road. I feel that the people who are unkind, are the ones that need kindness the most.
Be kind to unkind people, they need it the most.
Whenever I see beautiful images, or happy stories, I am not full of envy, or jealously, I am deeply moved. Not because someones life is better, juicier, or more interesting; but because despite the battles they may be facing, they chose to see the beauty in it.
So to my fellow readers, keep sharing your happy moments, your triumphs, and even the bad moments because by sharing your stories, your inspiring me, and so many others.
I rarely share my personal stories here on the blog, and I'm beginning to think that needs to change. I feel as if I shared a few of my personal stories, I could shed some life on certain issues that others could be facing. I would love to share with my readers my most personal struggles, wars, and obstacles I've overcome in hopes to inspire/inform. To my readers, I hope that whoever you are, whatever our relationship, if you ever have anything you would like to talk to me about, any stories you would like to share, anything, please never hesitate to contact me through social media (or my contact page) My door is always open, regardless of the circumstances. Please remember to always, always be kind for everyone is fighting a hard battle.
I challenge all of you to pick your own Monday mantra, and let it simmer with you. Let it allow you to analyze your choices, thoughts and actions. If you're feeling brave, share it with someone, heck even share it with me. Whatever you choose, I hope it's beautiful.
