Monday Mantra - Say Yes to Change

Hello lovelies and happy Monday! I've decided to begin a new series on my blog called, "Monday Mantras" Mondays are a day everyone seems to dread and I decided I wanted to help everyone kick it up a notch. Mondays are days we're all feeling a little overwhelmed, drained, and a little wound up...so why not try to tweak the way we view Mondays? Every Monday I will be posting a motivational quote, a mantra if you will -to help not just myself, but others get and stay motivated, to help maintain focus, and get us thinking about our goals and aspirations. I'v chose to begin this new series on my blog because I'm ready to get inspired, and help others in the process.

This weeks Monday Mantra....

Happy Monday Morning my fellow readers! Today's Monday Mantra is very personal for me this week. I've been going through a lot of changes at a rapid pace and I've decided to share with you all exactly how I'm dealing with it. I won't dive too deep into what exactly is going on in my current life because that is not the purpose of my Monday Mantra mini series. What I will say is that I'm currently getting used to the idea of making a big, bold change in my life. Something so bold and scary, that I'm almost afraid of going through with it. It's nothing bad in the slightest, but it's something that takes a lot of guts, especially for me. Today in my mantra post I will be diving into the idea of beginning new adventures, and having faith that everything will be alright.

Before you ever chose to make a big change in your life, you are fearful. You are afraid, worried, scared that something wont go the way you plan. You are timid, and almost hesitant to go through with it. You let it simmer in your soul, and  constantly analyze your choice to make a change. You could make a big decision today, and continue to analyze it for days, months, years before you make a change.

But at what cost? You are losing nothing but precious time. Time spent worrying, fearful and hesitant is time wasted.

Your comfort zone is your safe place, but nothing ever grows there. Unless you decide to make a change, everything will stay the same. Your ordinary, routine life will continue to be just that, and that's perfectly okay, if that's exactly what you're after. If you're after change, just say "yes" and have courage above all else.

Be fearless and dive deep into depths unknown and just be patient with yourself.

You will feel awkward, scared, and most definitely uncomfortable at first, and that's perfectly normal. When you exit your comfort zone and dive into the unknown, that's when the growth begins. That's an experience in itself. A learning experience, and we all need quite a few of those in live to become to person we are meant to be. If something scares the hell out of you, you should most definitely go through with it. It takes you out of your comfort zone, your safe zone and into the unknown.

Never play the waiting game, that "I'll do it when I'm ready" type of thing. If we all wait until we're ready, we'll be waiting the rest of our lives.

When you say yes to the unknown, you are doing something very courageous, and that's ridiculously inspiring. It's so easy to shrink in fear when deciding to go through with a radical change, and to stay in your comfort zone. But what kind of life is that? A plain, safe, simple one. Why be ordinary? Why not do something you're absolutely terrified of. Taking risks is what life is all about, it's about doing a few things that scare the shit out of you. It's about learning, and sometimes that means taking risks.

If it's failure that you're so scared of, who cares? At least you were brave enough to try.

Above all else, you shouldn't be afraid. You should say yes to the unknown. Say yes to change. Say yes to something that scares you the most. That is the only way you will experience anything new. That is the only way you will have an experience worth having. You can never stop the judgement of others, and what they will think, but who has time to worry about any of that? Live your life for yourself, nobody else and step outside of your comfort zone. That is when the adventure truly begins.

I challenge all of you to pick your own Monday mantra, and let it simmer with you. Let it allow you to analyze your choices, thoughts and actions. If you're feeling brave, share it with someone, heck even share it with me. Whatever you choose, I hope it's beautiful.
