Monday Mantra - Taking Risks

Hello lovelies and happy Monday! I've decided to begin a new series on my blog called, "Monday Mantras" Mondays are a day everyone seems to dread and I decided I wanted to help everyone kick it up a notch. Mondays are days we're all feeling a little overwhelmed, drained, and a little wound up...so why not try to tweak the way we view Mondays? Every Monday I will be posting a motivational quote, a mantra if you will -to help not just myself, but others get and stay motivated, to help maintain focus, and get us thinking about our goals and aspirations. I'v chose to begin this new series on my blog because I'm ready to get inspired, and help others in the process.

This weeks Monday Mantra....

Hey everyone and happy Monday morning! I haven't done a single Monday mantra this June...I'm super sad about this. Today, it all changes! I feel like we all need a little Monday morning boost from time to time. Today I woke up feeling a little bit better about all the fast changes that are happening around here. I feel like so many things in my life lately are so far out of my control and it's been super frustrating. Between a crazy work schedule, so many constant ups and downs and moving - life has seemed sporadic. For the first time in a long time, I'm excited, and ready to make bold changes.

It's hard for me to just let things happen, and take big risks outside of my comfort zone. I've always been a big risk taker, especially being in the beauty industry, but moving is a totally different story. In a month or two, Dustin and I will be moving almost 2000 miles away from home. It's scary, it's different, and I have no idea what to expect. For the past six months I've been super nervous for our big move. I've been anxious, and worried we were taking too big of a risk.

Where we're headed in the next couple of months, is a place we've never been before. We have close friends who live there, and absolutely love it, but it's somewhere completely new.

And that scares the hell out of me.

Moving to a place we've never been, taking a chance on a whim is pretty scary. As scary as it may seem, it's a big chance for growth. It's a chance to start fresh. It's a chance to meet new people, and see new things. It's a chance of a lifetime and I'm grateful we have the choice to move. I'm grateful for the opportunity to transfer within my boyfriends company. As scary as it is, it's also going to be liberating. Taking risks, are always a good idea.

Making a leap outside of your comfort zone, into the unknown is always a lesson in itself. Taking risks, and making bold changes is what life is all about. If you're faced with a big opportunity that scares the hell out of you, you should probably do it. What's the point in staying comfortable? Lets all make it a point to dive out of our comfort zones and take risks. Lets all take any opportunity we're thrown and run with it. Taking risks, taking chances, and doing something you're afraid of is always a grand adventure. Sometimes, we must push ourselves out of our safe zones and into the unknown.

I challenge all of you to pick your own Monday mantra, and let it simmer with you. Let it allow you to analyze your choices, thoughts and actions. If you're feeling brave, share it with someone, heck even share it with me. Whatever you choose, I hope it's beautiful.
