Monday Mantra - Be Kind

Hello lovelies and happy Monday! I've decided to begin a new series on my blog called, "Monday Mantras" Mondays are a day everyone seems to dread and I decided I wanted to help everyone kick it up a notch. Mondays are days we're all feeling a little overwhelmed, drained, and a little wound up...so why not try to tweak the way we view Mondays? Every Monday I will be posting a motivational quote, a mantra if you will -to help not just myself, but others get and stay motivated, to help maintain focus, and get us thinking about our goals and aspirations. I'v chose to begin this new series on my blog because I'm ready to get inspired, and help others in the process.

 

This weeks Monday Mantra....

Mondays can be one of the most dreadful days of the week. Lets just be honest, no one looks forward to Mondays. If we're being real here, we need to stop living for the weekends. We need to start getting excited for every day of the week, because it's a gift. And we absolutely need to embrace every Monday and welcome it with just as much enthusiasm as Saturday. When I woke up this morning, I wasn't in the best of moods. I was cranky, and overall dreading the day- and it's my day off! How pathetic is that? I took a moment to reevaluate how I was feeling and why, and decided to simply be happy. 

Even when we're feeling less than excited, less than motivated to put on a happy face, it's so important to set ourselves up for success. 

This was something I always struggled with, and as many of you probably have to. Choosing to be happy, to put on a happy face and just going with it. No matter what you're going through, no matter how hectic your Monday, you can choose your attitude. By choosing a smile, or simply a "I can do this" type of mentality, everything just seems so much easier. 

Don't let the Monday morning blues bring out the worst in you, and most importantly, don't let it make you unkind. 

Monday can and probably will bring out the worst in most people, as I'm sure your fully aware. Today you will most likely be faced with cranky attitudes, forced "hellos" and an overall sense of "leave me alone" type of attitudes. Whether your at work, or just out and about today, take the time to study your own attitude. Most importantly, take the time to monitor it. Make sure you are putting your best foot forward.

Whatever you're doing today, whoever you interact with, throw kindness around like confetti. 

Today, if someone treats you unfairly or has a general sense of unhappiness, kill them with kindness. Being kind to unkind people can completely transform their outlook, and general attitude towards the world, and themselves. Being kind is easy, and it starts with you. In a world where anyone can be anything, just be kind. You never know who will need your sweetness. Today, if your feeling the blues, just try cracking a smile. If you notice someone is having a bad day at work, try a random act of kindness. Pay it forward, flash a smile, just be your authentic, bubbly self.  Today, make it count. 

 

I challenge all of you to pick your own Monday mantra, and let it simmer with you. Let it allow you to analyze your choices, thoughts and actions. If you're feeling brave, share it with someone, heck even share it with me. Whatever you choose, I hope it's beautiful.
