Simple Ways to Help You Cope with Anxiety

Hello lovelies and happy Tuesday! Today I'm sharing with you something that's been bothering me, quite a bit lately. This past September, my Fiance and I moved cross country, 2,000+ away from home, and I've been happier than ever. Sure, I get homesick from time to time, but getting out of Maine has been the best thing I've ever done for my mental health. Texas probably wont be the place where we settle down and buy our first home, but I'm happy to be here especially with 70 degree weather pretty much every single day of the week. Since being here for almost six months now, my life has changed completely. Between a new job, new landscape, and plenty of newness, I guess you could say it can be a lot to handle sometimes.

Everything in Texas is just so new and unfamiliar, and completely different than what I'm used to. I knew just what I was getting myself into in completely uprooting my easy, comfortable life in Maine to move cross country, but I had no idea how hard it would be. Getting used to an unfamiliar place, loaded with a ton of newness hasn't been easy for me. It's actually been a lot more stressful than I anticipated. I know that ultimately, everything's going to be alright, and I'll adjust eventually, but some days are definitely more difficult than others. Sometimes, change can be overwhelming, even when it's a good thing.

It's no secret, all of us suffer with anxiety from time to time. Just recently, I've experienced a large dose of it myself, and honestly, I wasn't sure how to deal with it. Sometimes, anxiety can be triggered by certain events in your life, or for no reason at all. The first step into feeling a bit better is to understand why you're feeling anxious. And then, you must figure out how to cope with your anxiety, or anxious thoughts. Today I'm sharing with you a few things that have helped me in the past to shake my anxiety. Here are a few things you can do today to help when you experience anxiety.
